Unbelievably awful ! - COMCAST - XFINITY


We just moved into a new city, so I set up my comcast account online, reserved an appointment by a service personnel for last Saturday 11-1 pm. As I couldn't wait for wifi, I called their customer service number and asked if I can set it up by myself. Rep said yes, so I went to pick up the equipment from the local Comcast center. The guy explained me what to do and the phone number to activate the service. I did all that and called that afternoon. Thus time, the rep said that the cable is not connected to my apartment so a service person has to come to connect the wire outside. As I still had the appointment on Saturday, I agreed to wait. On Thursday, I wanted to make sure about the appointment, so I called again and the rep assured me that I have an appointment in Saturday.

On Saturday, nobody came by 1 pm, so I called. This time, the rep said that there is nothing on my account and the earliest service appointment I can make is next Saturday!!! I asked for a supervisor and she told me that I don't need an appointment and she activated my TV service. However, the modem did not respond to their signal, so she connected me to a tech service rep. He tried several times and declared this brand new Amazon-bought Motorolla modem deficient and made a new appointment by a service personnel for today, between 12-4 pm. We cancelled our planned activities and stayed here, waiting a service personnel. At 3:30, still no call from a technician, I called Comcast and after waiting for 24 minutes, this rep told me that there is no appointment for us today due to some technical error and she will send someone tomorrow 3-5pm!!

We wasted this weekend completely !!! If they know it, then why nobody calls us so that we don't waste our Sunday???

I am so fed up with this company!!! Every time I call, the reps say totally different things!
